Our Client is a software house committed to providing innovative software solutions to the healthcare sector. The company was formed over 15 years ago and since then has developed a range of highly functional products that are relied on by thousands of NHS staff on a day to day basis.
The Role
Due to significant increase in customer demand and a continuously demanding development roadmap, the organisation is seeking a Software Test Analyst with a minimum of 18 months experience and ISEB certification to Foundation level to join its established QA/Test team. The ideal candidate should be able to;
Key Responsibilities:
Design test cases and scripts from business rules/functional requirements.
Perform accurate Functional, Non-Functional and System Testing from predefined test cases/ scripts.
Demonstrate good experience in integration, interface, browser compatibility, performance, security, deployment and Usability Testing.
Produce estimates of time and effort for all QA tasks to Project Management.
Demonstrate a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
V-model.
Demonstrate a good understanding of the Defect management life cycle.
Provide input to Test Strategies/Plan and carry out reviews for amendments.
Show a willingness and ability to suggest and implement new testing methodologies and techniques.
Deliver to tight deadlines.
Qualifications
Minimum: ISEB Foundation in Software Testing
Experience (Required)
Testing web applications (ASP.Net, JavaScript, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, XML, XSL, C#, .NET3.5).
XML Data handling.
Testing interfaces and web services.
Strong skills in writing and executing test cases/ scripts.
Adherence to Software development Life Cycle – V- model.
Knowledge of SQL Server 2005 and 2008.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience (Desirable)
Knowledge of testing within the health sector.
HL7 messaging.
Knowledge Defect Tracking using Fogbugz
Experience of Load testing tool including Borland Silk Performer.
Visual Studio Team foundation server.
Agile Software Development Environment

Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work well within a highly focused team.
Able to work with limited direct supervision.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
