Location - Channel Islands, GUERNSEY. 6 month contract role: Whilst the major focus of this team concerns the support of the Globus banking system, there are a number of other applications that play a significant part in supporting the Private Banking business. This particular vacancy will focus on those applications and Globus knowledge will be of secondary importance. However, we will look to this individual to possess a broad understanding of banking.
As a member of the support team, it is imperative that the post-holder understands the importance of, and strictly adheres to the change / release mechanisms in place and experience of using such systems is paramount.
Exposure to, and experience of SQL based systems is a pre-requisite and knowledge of messaging technologies will be a big advantage.
Previous experience required:
Experience of Swift messaging technology is a big advantage
Experience of Management Information Systems and related technologies such as datawarehouses, OLAP analysis tools and Business Objects reporting is an advantage.
PC development skills such as SQL, Visual Basic, C sharp or Java advantageous
Broad range of business knowledge (front office & operational support)
Good user support experience required
User interface experience, with clear communication skills
Experience of working with IBM i-series: AIX and OS400 operating systems and MQSeries messaging products would be an advantage
Degree or professional qualifications not essential
Experience of Globus and its related technologies eg Jbase, TC Server and OFS Connector would be an advantage |
